Model of Promotion and Prevention of Mental Health Problem in Registered Nurses at Roi-Et Hospital-รูปแบบการส่งเสริม ป้องกันปัญหาสุขภาพจิตของพยาบาลวิชาชีพโรงพยาบาลร้อยเอ็ด

บทคัดย่อ

          The objectives of this action research was to develop model of promotion and prevention of mental health problem in registered nurses at Roiet hospital and to study the results of the implementation from January 2007 to October 2007.  The purposive samples were 41 registered nurses who were at risk of having mental health problems and 9 personnelีs mental health committee.  This study used the mental health problem questionnaire, self evaluation stress test, semi-structural question form for committee and the semi-structural indepth-interview form.  The statistic tests were descriptive statistics for quantitative data and content analysis for qualitative data. 

           These action research spiral include planning, acting, observing, reflecting and re-planning using focus group strategy in the committee and nurse consisted of three stages of transformation.  The first was the problemีs understanding stage, the second was challenging stage of the problem, and the last was satisfaction stage of the model.  These model of promotion and prevention of mental health problem consisted of a search for people who had the mental health problem and provided early intervention with empowerment technique by three types: 1) provide knowledge and stress relaxation group activities 2) mental strengthen personnel activities 3) parallel activities with hotline telephone.  The result of the development found decreasing in nursesี stress level after implementation.  The number of people with higher stress level than normal was reduced from 36.6  percent to 2.4 percent.  More people with normal stress level increased from 4.9 percent to 48.8 percent.
