Abstract

Background   Phrae Hospital received a policy to be 1 in 5 model hospitals, food safety hospitals of the Department of Service Support Ministry of Public Health in 2017.  Adopting food safety hospital policy into practice in Phrae Hospital so that patients in Phrae Hospital can eat clean, safe food that meets standards and support farmers to produce safe vegetables and fruits.

Objectives:    To develop the implementation of the food safety hospital policy into practice in Phrae Hospital

Study design: This study is an action research. Implemented using the PDCA model in accordance with the guidelines of action, 3 strategies, 10 measures. Tools used is the Food Safety Hospital Standards Assessment Form of the Public Health Administration, Ministry of Public Health. Explain the data with descriptive statistics, i.e. number, percentage.

Results:         Phrae Hospital operates the food safety hospital policy in accordance with the guidelines of 3 strategies and 10 measures. Standard assessment results of food safety in Hospital 3 side including patient food standards (management and operation), food sanitation standards of food preparation facility for patient in the hospital and food sanitation standards of restaurant in the hospital passed a very good standards.

Conclusion:   Phrae Hospital can operate in accordance with the Ministry of Public Health's food safety hospital policy in all measures. and have the opportunity to develop more comprehensively. Patients and personnel in Phrae Hospital consumed clean, safe food that meets standards. and farmers produce more safe fruits and vegetables. However, the quality of food safety still remains to be monitored continuously.
