Abstract

The Factors Affecting to Self-Care Behaviors for Non-Communicable diseases (NCDs) prevention of Village Health Volunteer (VHVs), Suphan buri Province. This research was Descriptive analysis, the objective was studied factors affecting self-care behaviors for preventing chronic Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) on Village Public Health Volunteers (VHVs) in Suphan buri Province. The sample were 390 volunteers. Data were analyzed by statistical frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, maximum value, minimum value, chi-square stats Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis statistics.

The results showed that 1)The sample was female, 72.09 percent, aged 44-78 years, average 61.06 years, most were farmers, 46.77 percent and graduated from high school, 36.18 percent, Most do not have any underlying disease, 68.99 percent. 2) Overall, the sample group had a perception of the risk of disease. Perception of the severity of the disease perceived benefit Perceived barriers to self-care practices and overall self-care behaviors were at a good level  ( =2.73, =.261, ( =2.84, =.216, ( =2.73, =.239, ( =2.85, =.245 และ ( =2.35, =.230  respectively) 3) Age, perception of risk of disease perception of the severity of the disease Perceived benefits and perceived barriers to self-care practices There was a positive correlation with self-care behaviors. Statistically significant at the 0.001 level (r= .172, .233, .248, .388 and .047, respectively). และ 4) Age and perceived benefits of self-care practices jointly predicted the self-care behavior of Volunteer Volunteers in Suphanburi Province, at 17.8 percent (R2 = .178).

The research recommends that relevant agencies promote awareness of health beliefs among Volunteers in the province in order to Volunteers have good self-care behaviors. Can be a model for health care for people in the community in the future.
