Abstract

This action research The objective is to develop a holistic health care model for monks. with the participation of network partners in the community The samples were: 1) 30 monks and 2) networks both within and outside the temple area in Sikhoraphum District, Surin Province, totaling 70 people. The tool used for quantitative data collection was a questionnaire. The qualitative data were collected using a participant observation form, a focus group discussion form, an in-depth interview form, and a workshop. The data were analyzed using the statistical distributions of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Test hypotheses with paired samples t-test, and content analysis. The results showed that most of the monks' problems were stomach ailments, followed by high blood pressure, back pain, waist pain, blood lipids, and osteoarthritis. Monks have the right to medical care, namely universal health coverage (31.88 percent) and holistic health behavior, the overall level is moderate. Health needs include a first-aid room, pharmaceutical supplies, and annual health check-ups. The model of holistic health care provided by monks through network participation consisted of 1) health promotion, 2) disease prevention, 3) medical treatment, and 4) rehabilitation. According to Buddhist holistic health learning principles and Isan culture. After developing a model for holistic health care of monks, it was found that the average score of monks' holistic health behavior increased by 5.67 points, the confidence interval was 95%, was between 4.88 to 6.46, statistically significant at the .05 level.
