Prevalence and Factor for Musculoskeletal Disorders to working of employees in a college in Bangkok

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders: WMSDs more found in educational personnel. This study aims to study prevalence and factor affecting to disorders of musculoskeletal system related from working of personnel in the private college in Bangkok. By using questionnaire to 90 samples. Analyze data by finding prevalence of disorders of musculoskeletal system with frequency percentage and 95% CI of factor analysis percentage that has a relationship with disorders of musculoskeletal by ordinal logistic regression.
The study found that personnel have a prevalence of pain in parts of body. Top three are arm/shoulder area 88.89%, followed by lower back area 83.33% and neck area 78.89% respectively. For factor that has relationship with chance of MSDs. The arm/shoulder area is muscle stiffness for a long time (OR = 3.02, 95% CI = 1.20 to 7.59). The lower back is body weight loss go to one side or being in an unbalanced position always (OR = 0.53, 95% CI = 0.51 to 4.64). The neck area is using too much eyes focus (OR = 0.20, 95% CI = 0.04 to 0.91). Thus, teaching personnel and computer using personnel should change posture, do not work for a long time in the same way, avoid using eyes too much so that for prevent eyes fatique. In addition, should also exercise, encourage the perssonel exercise in every working day by set alarm in a breaking time.
