Satisfaction of Service Recipients at the Administrative System Development Group : Office of the Public Health Permanent Secretary - ความพึงพอใจของผู้รับบริการ กลุ่มพัฒนาระบบบริหาร สำนักงานปลัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุข

Abstract

                       The purpose of this descriptive study was to determine the satisfaction levels and problems/obstacles as well as recommendations of service recipients who received services at central-level units of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health.  The study was conducted on a sample of service recipients selected by accidental sampling method from 1 to 30 September 2008.  Data were collected by using a questionnaire which had a reliability value measured as Cronbachีs alpha coefficient of 0.88.  Of all 400 returned sets questionnaire 363 (90.75%) were regarded as complete and could be used for data analysis. The descriptive statistics used for data analysis include percentage, mean and standard deviation.

                       The study revealed that of all respondents, most of them or 244 (67.2%) were females, 49 percent were aged 45 years and over, 54.7 had received a bachelorีs degree or equivalent, and 95.5 percent were civil servants or government employees of which 86 percent were from up-country. Most of them or 63.6 percent sought าinformationำ.

                        In terms of their satisfaction in overall and three specific aspects, the satisfaction level was high for overall services (x 3.55, SD 0.58), highest for amenities (x 3.65, SD 0.57), followed by for officials or personnel (x 3.53, SD 0.67) and for service provision process/steps  (x 3.36, SD 0.76) respectively.
