Abstract

The cold chain of vaccines used in EFI has been studied. Randomized selection OPV and DTP vaccines from various district health station was done. Of the 140 OPV samples, five (3.57%) did not pass the potency test. According to the most heat-labile property of pertussis vaccine, DTP vaccine samples were tested for the potency of pertussis component only. Ten of the 85 DTP samples (11.8%) did not pass the test.
