Unexpected Complication of Forehead Flap

Abstract

Large defects of the face or oral cavity may be difficult to reconstruct, and usually impairment of functions and cosmetic occur after operation, Forehead flap is one of the regional flap which play the important role in immediate reconstruction decrease hospitalization, good function and cosmetic. Forehead flap was originally designed in 1816 for reconstruction of the nose, and became popular only in 1961 when its benefits was demonstrated, so itus named "Temporal Flap". It provided large surface area as much as lOO to 200 sq;cm. The result of forehead flap usedin Rajvithi hospital will be discussed.
