Abstract
The Minisrry of Public Health has implemented an accerelated program on Health For All in some selected provinces for 1993- l994. Many indicators (including those relating to vaccination) indicate the success of this program which corespond with "Mid Decade Goals" targets, In implementing theEPl activities, the existing infrastructure is being used without improvement or modification. The authors studied the rim management system and services provided in one "Health For All" province and found that the management system at provincial level was quite good except lack of supervision and monitoring. in comparison between the services provided in the hospitals and health centers. the laters had better planning, but both did not emphasize in importance of cold chain monitoring and injection technic. The authors also studied the coverage of vaccination in the province and found the coverage of 89% in first year, in contrast. the coverage of measles vaccine we only 65.4%. Japanese B encephalitis vaccine was 46.67%, and the second year coverage of DTP and OPV was 61.9%.
Base on the findings. the Office of Communicable Disease Control Region 10 and me Provincial Chief Medical Office had implemented a project to improve the service ability of all health centers in the province ranging from planning. implementation including evaluation.
