Satisfaction with the Public Health Services of Elderly Population in Thailand

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the factors affecting the satisfaction on health services among elderly population in Thailand. It was conducted as a quantitative research utilyzing population data from a publication on the elderly of the National Economic and Social Development Council. Analysis was performed by using multivariate test method. The results of the study showed that the factors significantly affected the satisfaction of the health services were age, religion, health status, utilization of universal health care benefits, and getting information on ageing from community broadcasting towers,  posters or from other persons (community leaders, volunteers, relatives, friends etc.), (p<0.05). Working status, average annual income, and getting information on the elderly from television. The statistical significance level was 0.05.
