Development of the abilities of registered nurses to use the KKU family health assessment tool in a health care services: the inpatient department, Ban Khwao Hospital, Ban Khwao District, Chaiyaphum Province. การพัฒนาความสามารถของพยาบาลวิชาชีพในการใช้แบบประเมินสุขภาพครอบครัวมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในหน่วยบริการสุขภาพ : งานผู้ป่วยใน โรงพยาบาลบ้านเขว้า อำเภอบ้านเขว้า จังหวัดชัยภูมิ

บทคัดย่อ

          The objective of this study was to develop the assessment abilities of registered nurses in using the KKU family health assessment tool in inpatient department, Ban Khwao Hospital, Ban Khwao District, Chaiyaphum Province. The study subjects were 12 registered nurses of inpatient department, Ban Kwao hospital, Chaiyaphum province. This study was carried out from November 2016 to January 2017. The research tool was the questionnaire developed by Darunee et al. The reliability was tested using Cranbach’s alpha was 0.97. Data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics. The qualitative data were collected by observation, interview and content analysis.
          The ability development of registered nurses consisted of 3 steps; 1) Preparation step by preparation of lecturer and lesson plan, development of operation guide and cartoon animation, and learning activities. 2) Operation step using 1 day workshop, adult learning process by learner center concept. After workshop, the each participant used the KKU family health assessment tool to assess 3 cases of patients for 1 month. 3) Conclusion step by group meeting for summary of operation in family health assessment and suggestion for improvement of the family health assessment tool suitable for inpatient work context.
          The results revealed that, before workshop, the mean ability score in family  health assessment was low (xˉ = 1.82). After workshop, the mean ability score in family health assessment was increased (xˉ = 3.67). These results suggested that the ability development using adult learning process was an appropriate personnel development process and could increase the abilities of nurses. Most of nurses were satisfied with the KKU family health assessment tool at a high level; 83.34 %
