Competency Development as to Perception of Healthcare Personnel in Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Amphur Pathum Ratchwongsa, Amnat Charoen Province in using the Khon Kaen University Family Health Assessment Tool :การพัฒนาความสามารถตามการรับรู้ของบุคลากรสุขภาพในสังกัดโรงพยาบาลส่งเริมสุขภาพตำบลอำเภอปทุมราชวงศา จังหวัดอำนาจเจริญ ในการใช้แบบประเมินสุขภาพครอบครัว มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น

บทคัดย่อ

ABSTRACT

          This descriptive study was aimed to develop the competencies as to perception of the healthcare personnel in using the KKU Family health assessment (KKU FHA) tool. Fifteen healthcare personnel in Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Amphur Pathum Ratchwongsa, Amnat Charoen Province were voluntarily participated. The study instruments consisted of the existing data collection tools with the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.97 and operational tools. Data were collected during May to June 2016. The study method included created the tool kit handout, training plan and tutorial animation video. One-day training workshop for using the KKU FHA tool was set based on the adult learning process. After training, each participants applied the KKU FHA tool to assess the family health for 2 families. The focus group evaluation of using the KKU FHA tool was carried out. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics included mean and standard deviation. The Content analysis was employed for the interviewing data and group discussions.

            The results of the competency level as to perception of healthcare personnel in using the KKU FHA tool showed that after training, the mean score was higher than that of the pre-training mean scores (4.16 ± 0.65). In addition, 93.33% of family representatives received the family assessment by healthcare personnel had the satisfaction scores at the highest level. This study sheds light on the importance of healthcare personnel skills and competencies in selection the appropriate and comprehensive family assessment tool. The development of competency of healthcare personnel in Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital to get the complete information of the health problem and need of families would actually help in the rapid responses to solve the problem and serve their needs.
