Factors Associated with Stroke Prevention Behavior among Hypertension Patients in Kumpawapi District, Udon Thani Province : ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง ในผู้ป่วยโรคความดันโลหิตสูง อำเภอกุมภวาปี จังหวัดอุดรธานี

บทคัดย่อ

ABSTRACT

          This cross - sectional analytical study to determine factors associating with stroke prevention behavior among hypertension patients in Kumpawapi District, Udonthani Province.The sample size was hypertension patients 452 persons,choose by Multi-stage random sampling. The questionnaire’s instrument reliability was 0.83,The research studied during March to July, 2017.The data was analyzed by multiple logistic regression and Adjustedodd ratio were utilized to determine the relationship between the factors with confident interval level 95 %.and statistic significant p-value at level 0.05.

          The result showed that participants were female 66.59 %,mean of age ± sd. =63.06 ± 8.15 yearsold,married 67.04 %, 67.04 % had educational attainment as primary school level, 66.81 %,unemployed 36.73%, and the average income per month 8,641.60 ± 9675.40 Baht. They were diagnosed with hypertension combine with other disease 63.72%, usedto receive knowledge stroke issue 67.48%, body mass index (BMI) higher standard 74.78% and 77.65 % had well control blood pressure history. Predisposing factors that were strongly related to stroke prevention behavior among hypertension patients including sex (ORAdj=2.23, 95% CI of ORAdj :1.46-3.40, p-value<0.001), and household monthly income (ORAdj=0.46, 95% CI of ORAdj :0.31 - 0.69, p-value<0.001). Andperception about stroke risk factors (ORAdj=5.83, 95% CI of ORAdj:2.86 – 11.87, p-value<0.001).This study suggestion is promote especially perception risk factors in hypertension patients to create prevent behaviors stoke in the future.
