Highly-Sensitive Assay for Confirming of Male Secretion in Sexual Assault
Abstract
The semen confirming tests in sexual assault cases are conventionally performed by cytological sperm detection. However in oligo- or azoospermic conditions, histological methods may easily fail. There are several alternative methods including analysis of specific proteins, RNAs or epigenetics; those methods are very complicated and high-cost. This article is introducing a male-DNA-based assay which is highly sensitive and cost-effective.
