Factors Associated with Quality of Working Life among Health Personnel in Kong-Ra Hospital, Phatthalung Province

This analytic cross-sectional study was to investigate factors associated with quality of working life among health personnel in Kong-Ra Hospital, Phatthalung Province. The data was collected from 135 health personnel in November 2013 using questionnaires which content validity was checked by three experts. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of satisfaction, happiness and quality of working life were 0.93,0.71 and 0.91 respectively. The data was analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The main results revealed that income (B=5.958, p<0.001) and satisfaction (B=0.602, p<0.001) were statistically positively associated with quality of working life among health personnel. The model could be predicted by these factors about 42.3 percent (R=0.651, R2=0.423). Results suggested that hospital committee should provide activities to focus on satisfaction towards health personnel performance in order to promote and develop quality of working life, particularly, salary, incentive, working environment, safety and efficiency of materials. In addition, hospital director should arrange environmental atmosphere to support working performance among staff in order to be honor among staff.
