Abstract

             This descriptive research aimed to evaluate the opinions toward the bachelor of nursing science curriculum (revised edition 2017), Boromarajonani college of nursing, Udon Thani. The samples comprised of 7 instructors in charge of the curriculum, 58 full–time nurse lecturers, 116 fourth–year nursing students, class of 27, graduated in the academic year 2021 whose data collected in December, 2021, 10 preceptor nurses in training sites and 10 nurse employers. The research instruments consisted of the questionnaires for the opinions toward the bachelor of nursing science curriculum (revised edition 2017), Boromarajonani college of nursing, Udon Thani and for the focus group discussion. The content validity was evaluated by 3 experts. The reliability evaluated by the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.85. Data were analyzed by using the mean, standard deviation and content analysis approach.

              The research findings were as follows: the overall average opinion scores of the instructors in charge of the curriculum, nurse lecturers and fourth–year nursing students in the curriculum context dimension were at the high and highest levels (x ̅ = 4.51, 4.27 and 4.14, S.D. = 0.48, 0.48 and 0.52, respectively), input factor dimension were at the high level (x ̅ = 4.33, 4.21 and 4.12, S.D. = 0.48, 0.53 and 0.57, respectively), process factor dimension were at the high and highest levels (x ̅ = 4.58, 4.15 and 4.13, S.D. = 0.48, 0.61 and 0.62, respectively), output dimension were at the high level (x ̅ = 4.45, 4.17 and 4.15, S.D. = 0.56, 0.59 and 0.61, respectively).

            These results could be used as the baseline information to further develop the bachelor of nursing science curriculum. And the outcome of the curriculum should be followed–up by evaluating the graduate’s quality in the long term in order to monitor the graduate’s competency.
