Abstract

ABSTRACT

          This survey research aimed to analyse the competency factors on development of routine to research of public health personel in sub-district health promoting hospital and to explore the concordance of the structural equation modeling of their competency on development of routine to research with the empirical data. The study population were 1,656 health personels who passed the training for routine to research and worked in sub-district health promoting hospital in Ubon Ratchathan. Eight hundred and forty samples were randomly simple selected. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.976. The data were analysed using mean, percentage and exploratory factors analysis.

          The results showed that the competency factors on development of routine to research of studied subjects were the knowledge, ability, skills, supporting character for development, attitudes, motivation, self-esteem, and the ability to bring the results from routine work to job development. The factors that had the highest mean score assigned as high level were the attitude and self-esteem factors on development of routine to research, followed by the supporting character for development and the ability to bring the research results from routine work to job development. The variable that had the highest mean score assigned as the high level was the belief of expandable routine to research. The variable that had the lowest mean score assigned as the moderate level was the knowledge in synthesis of relevant documents and researchs. The highest mean variable was believed to be able to develop on a regular basis, whoever a mean of variable the least level was moderate as knowledge in synthesis of relevant documents and research.

          This research suggested that the public health administrators should implement all 8 components to policy making and planning for routine to research development of the health personnels in sub-district health promoting hospital in Ubon Ratchathani province.
